On September 15th, amid the lively atmosphere of the National Cybersecurity Publicity Week, the finals of the 2025 "Bay Area Cup" Cybersecurity Competition were grandly held at the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Guided by the Cyberspace Administration of Guangdong Provincial Committee, Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, and Communist Youth League Guangdong Provincial Committee, this year’s competition was co-hosted by China Telecom and Guangdong Computer Information Network Security Association. Since its launch, it has attracted widespread attention, with a nationwide call for participants drawing over 10,000 registrants. After intense preliminary competitions, 150 elite teams successfully advanced to the finals, kicking off a pinnacle contest that combines wisdom and technology.

Adhering to the theme of "Achievements in Wisdom · Integrity in Security · Cities of the Future", the competition innovatively built a multi-dimensional competition system. In addition to the traditional cybersecurity attack-and-defense practical sessions, it specifically added six cutting-edge tracks: low-altitude economy, artificial intelligence, mobile Internet, Internet of Vehicles (IoV), industrial Internet, and blockchain security. Closely aligned with the security needs of future cities, the competition comprehensively assesses participants’ practical capabilities and innovative thinking in emerging technology fields. In the artificial intelligence track, participants need to address challenges related to large-model security, such as resolving potential issues like AI training data poisoning and malicious model attacks. In the IoV track, contestants conduct attack-and-defense drills targeting key links such as vehicle communication security and autonomous driving system protection. These competition questions are closely tied to real-world application scenarios and hold significant practical guiding value for future cybersecurity protection.

In the end, after fierce competition, the awards were determined. The competition not only selected the Golden Bay Cup, Silver Bay Cup, and Bronze Bay Cup, which symbolize comprehensive strength, but also awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze Future Technology Simulation Business Challenge Medals for the future technology simulation business competitions in the six cutting-edge tracks. These awards accurately recognize outstanding teams and individuals that have overcome technical difficulties in various segmented fields.

At the competition site, a number of cutting-edge technological achievements were brilliantly showcased. The cybersecurity attack-and-defense scenario exhibition area, derived from the six tracks, was full of technological sense. Advanced equipment such as GAC Gomate wheeled-legged robots and Feiyun electric power maintenance robotic dogs demonstrated the development direction of "new productive forces". While playing an important role in industrial inspection, electric power maintenance, and other fields, these devices also face complex cybersecurity risks, becoming the focus of attention and discussion at the competition. In addition, a unique experience session was set up on-site, allowing audiences to personally operate anti-drone guns, experience the shock of shooting down "unidentified aircraft", and intuitively understand the importance and urgency of cybersecurity protection in the low-altitude field. Meanwhile, the Quantum Computing Center also made its public debut during the competition, unveiling the mystery of the upcoming quantum era in advance and triggering in-depth thinking about cybersecurity challenges in the quantum computing era.

The 2025 "Bay Area Cup" Cybersecurity Competition is not only a high-level competitive event, but also an important platform for exploring the construction of future cybersecurity protection systems. By focusing on cutting-edge technology, it contributes wisdom and strength to safeguarding the security of future cities.
