According to a report by National Business Daily, the new brand co-developed by GAC Group and Huawei has been named "Qijing", positioned as a high-end intelligent new energy vehicle brand, and will be officially launched in the near future. Under the joint plan of the two parties, all Qijing vehicle models will be equipped with Huawei Qiankun intelligent technologies.
Huawei has already co-developed five automotive brands with different car manufacturers, namely Wenjie, Zhijie, Xiangjie, Zunjie, and Shangjie. IT Home noted that Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Executive Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG, stated in May this year that HarmonyOS Intelligent Travel currently has "Five Jies" (the five brands with the Chinese character "Jie" in their names), and there "may not be" new "Jies" in the future.

Yu Chengdong said: "At our last gathering, we thought there were only four Jies. However, many changes have happened since then. With the strong promotion of President Jia (Note: Jia Jianxu, President of SAIC Motor) and other leaders, we have added another Jie. I think this may have to end here. Because it is already quite difficult for us to manage two or three Jies, and managing five Jies is extremely challenging."
Yu Chengdong expressed appreciation for Seres, Chery, BAIC, JAC, and SAIC: "The five manufacturers corresponding to the five Jies are all excellent. 'A fist really needs five fingers to clench to have strength. Therefore, it is impossible to have a sixth finger. We will temporarily clench our fists here, work hard together, and strive for success in the market together.'"
Huawang Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., a new company established by GAC Group with an investment of 1.5 billion yuan, was officially founded on March 18. It will create an independent high-end automotive brand. According to GAC Group, as a key carrier for the strategic cooperation between GAC Group and Huawei, Huawang Automotive will develop innovative products targeting the high-end market of around 300,000 yuan. Currently, the company is steadily advancing team building and product R&D, and its first model is expected to be launched in 2026.
GAC Group stated that Huawang Automotive will deeply integrate the respective advantages of GAC Group and Huawei in terms of intelligence, ecology, and brand synergy. It will also benchmark Huawei’s IPD (Integrated Product Development) and IPMS (Integrated Product Marketing and Sales) system experience to build a new process that runs through product definition, marketing, and ecological services.
