On September 2, DRAM manufacturer Nanya Technology reported its consolidated revenue for August 2026 reached NT$44.69 billion, marking a 1.88‑percent month‑on‑month increase and a sharp year‑on‑year surge of 560.85%, hitting an all‑time high.

Earlier figures released by Nanya Technology showed that its consolidated revenue in July stood at NT$43.868 billion, up 49.27% month‑on‑month and rocketing 719.61% year‑on‑year. Combined with August revenue, the company’s total consolidated revenue for the first eight months reached NT$220.194 billion, soaring 638.19% compared with the same period last year.

During a previous earnings conference, Lee Pei‑ying, General Manager of Nanya Technology, commented on the overall market outlook. She stated that robust AI demand has driven structural shifts in memory supply and demand and mitigated cyclical volatility. Rising demand for HBM and RDIMM from AI‑powered cloud data centres and general‑purpose servers is squeezing memory supply for mobile phones, PCs, automotive electronics and consumer‑grade products. The memory supply shortage is expected to persist for several quarters or longer, while long‑term supply‑demand consensus has been formed via long‑term agreements (LTAs).

Regarding the supply side, Lee Pei‑ying noted that memory suppliers are aggressively expanding production capacity and dynamically adjusting product portfolios to raise the proportion of high‑margin products. Subject to customers’ long‑term LTA requirements, these new‑capacity expansion plans are projected to be gradually rolled out starting in 2028.
