On January 27, Haike Group announced that Haike Xinyuan Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Haike Holding, has officially signed a pipeline transportation cooperation agreement for the Hubei Project with Shenzhen BYD Lithium Battery Co., Ltd. in recent days. The agreement is valid for three years, under which Haike Xinyuan’s Hubei Base will supply electrolyte solvents for BYD Lithium Battery’s electrolyte project in Zhijiang City, Yichang, Hubei Province, with the agreed annual pipeline transportation supply volume no less than 100,000 tons. The signing of this cooperation agreement marks a further consolidation of the strategic partnership between the two parties.
Wholly owned by BYD Company Limited, BYD Lithium Battery has deepened its technological expertise in the battery field. Relying on the remarkable advantages of lithium iron phosphate batteries in safety, cycle life and cost, it has won many honors in recent years, including the Science and Technology Award of the China Society of Automotive Engineers (national level), the Enterprise Meeting the National Standard Conditions for the Lithium-ion Battery Industry (national level) and the Science and Technology Progress Award (provincial level). Its technical standardization and quality control system stand at the industry-leading level, and it adopts an extremely stringent screening process for upstream material suppliers. Under this cooperation, Haike Xinyuan will supply dimethyl carbonate, ethylene carbonate, ethyl methyl carbonate and other products to BYD Lithium Battery. With over 20 years of technological accumulation and stability advantages in the field of carbonate-based electrolyte solvents, Haike Xinyuan has won BYD’s "Special Contribution Award" for four consecutive years. This cooperation on the Hubei Project represents a milestone upgrade of the trust-based relationship between the two sides.
By deploying an upstream and downstream agile delivery pipeline transportation model locally and adopting closed pipeline gallery transportation, Haike Xinyuan has greatly reduced logistics costs and delivery risks, effectively avoided supply disruption risks caused by extreme weather, traffic control and other factors, realized a seamless connection between "raw materials and production", and shortened the delivery cycle to the industry-leading level. This cooperation model innovatively addresses the operational pain points of the new energy vehicle industry chain. The supply chain layout marks Haike Xinyuan’s transformation from a single material supplier to an integrated solution provider featuring "technology + service + low carbon", and provides a replicable and promotable practical path for the "dual carbon" goals. This cooperation not only reflects BYD’s recognition of Haike Xinyuan’s technical standards, but also highlights the pursuit of ultimate supply chain safety and efficiency by BYD, a global leader in the new energy vehicle industry.
