Honor and Alibaba Group announced the comprehensive deepening of their strategic cooperation, covering multiple fields such as AI cloud infrastructure, AI models, AI Agent ecology, as well as online and offline business ecosystems. This marks the first time that Alibaba's full-stack AI technology capabilities have been integrated and applied in the AI mobile phone industry.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Li Jian, CEO of Honor, and Wu Yongming, CEO of Alibaba Group. On behalf of both parties, Fang Fei, President of Honor's Product Line, Sun Jianfa, President of Honor MagicOS, Wen Zheng, Vice President of Strategy at Alibaba Group, and Liu Weiguang, Senior Vice President of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence and President of the Public Cloud Business Unit, signed the agreement.
In July this year, Honor launched its new folding flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic V5. Equipped with Alibaba's Tongyi Large Model, as well as two vertical Agent applications – Fliggy Travel and Amap – this model can support users with AI services including AI text processing, image enhancement, real-time interaction in audio and video modes, and meeting personalized needs in travel and trip scenarios. It is understood that in the two months since Fliggy and Amap's intelligent Agents were integrated (into the device), they have received positive feedback from millions of Honor users.
Building on the solid foundation of their existing cooperation, Honor and Alibaba have further deepened their strategic partnership. According to IT Home, the key cooperation contents are as follows:
In terms of AI models and capabilities: The two parties will establish a joint laboratory to promote the in-depth integration of large models with terminal hardware, systems, and scenarios, and jointly create a world-leading "cloud-device integration" intelligent terminal experience.
In terms of AI Agent ecology: Relying on Alibaba's business service ecosystem, the two parties will expand AI mobile phone Agent services to more vertical scenarios such as food delivery services, office systems, e-commerce shopping, and theater and movie ticketing.
In addition, the two parties will also strengthen cooperation in internet commercialization areas such as user growth.
