(NASDAQ: CEVA) and ALi Corporation announced a strategic licensing partnership to integrate Ceva's advanced NeuPro-Nano and NeuPro-M neural processing units (NPUs) into ALi Corporation's next-generation Video Display Sub-System (VDSS) platform. This collaboration combines ALi Corporation's expertise in multimedia system-on-chip (SoC) with Ceva's cutting-edge AI technology, enabling high-performance audio, video, visual, sensing, and AI processing applications in intelligent edge devices, including smart displays, set-top boxes, and various visual computing devices.
The NeuPro-Nano embedded AI NPU is designed for ultra-low-power applications, excelling in always-on audio, voice, vision, and sensing use cases. With native support for transformer models, it efficiently executes edge computing tasks for small language models (SLMs) and other emerging AI workloads. Complementing this, the NeuPro-M NPU IP offers scalable performance from 4 to 200 TOPS/core, supporting advanced AI models including transformers, vision transformers (ViT), and generative AI. By integrating these two NPUs into ALi Corporation's VDSS platform, its ASIC design service customers gain flexible and energy-efficient AI acceleration solutions optimized for deep learning inference across a wide range of intelligent edge applications.
