According to the official Weibo account of CCTV News, several exoskeleton robots made their appearance at the "Intelligent Future – Care Robot Conference" held last month.
As introduced, exoskeleton robots are wearable devices that combine the auxiliary and enhancing functions of exoskeletons with the autonomous or semi-autonomous control capabilities of robots. They can assist people with mobility impairments and enhance the motor ability of healthy individuals. CCTV.com cited examples such as Kenqing Technology's "C1 Pro" and Hangzhou Zhiyuan's "Tashan" exoskeleton robots, revealing that these products have been deployed in scenic spots including Huangshan (Anhui), Taishan (Shandong), and Huashan (Shaanxi). Climbers wearing them can walk briskly and reach the summit easily.

Beyond outdoor sports, exoskeleton robots have penetrated industries, military, emergency rescue, and elderly care fields. Yuan Shuai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhongguancun Internet of Things Industry Alliance, stated that in the industrial sector, workers on production lines can significantly improve assembly efficiency by wearing upper limb exoskeleton robots; in the military field, exoskeleton robots can enhance soldiers' individual load-bearing capacity and sustained combat capability; in emergency rescue, firefighters wearing exoskeleton robots can carry heavy equipment to climb high-rise buildings; in elderly care, exoskeleton robots have been piloted in some communities to assist disabled elderly in walking independently.
CCTV.com quoted institutional forecasts that 2025 to 2028 will be a period of rapid growth for the exoskeleton robot industry, with an estimated compound annual growth rate of 47.7% over the three years. The global market size is expected to reach $5.8 billion (approximately RMB 41.705 billion at current exchange rates) by 2028. China's exoskeleton robot market size will reach RMB 4.2 billion in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of about 50% from 2023 to 2028.
