
On December 8, Innoscience (Suzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Innoscience") issued a voluntary announcement, declaring that its next-generation 6.6kW On-Board Charger (OBC) system featuring 650V gallium nitride (GaN) has been successfully installed in Changan Automobile models. With industry-leading charging efficiency and overall power density, the system sets a new benchmark for on-board power supply technology.
It is reported that the newly installed next-generation 6.6kW GaN on-board 2-in-1 power product was developed by Suzhou Inovance United Power System Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 301656, hereinafter referred to as "United Power"). The product highly integrates the OBC and the on-board DC-DC converter. Through global efficiency optimization design, combined with the low switching loss and high-frequency characteristics of Innoscience’s 650V high-voltage GaN power devices, the product has significantly improved charging efficiency and power density, achieving breakthroughs in technical performance.
Innoscience stated that the successful integration of the GaN OBC system into Changan Automobile models represents a crucial milestone for the application of GaN technology in the on-board power supply sector. It also marks a solid and pioneering step forward in the cooperation between the company and United Power in the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry. Going forward, the two parties will maintain close collaboration to jointly drive the upgrade of the NEV industry toward greater efficiency and sustainability.
