Recently, China’s three major telecom operators have successively obtained commercial trial approvals for eSIM mobile phone services issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. As a key player in the eSIM field, Huada Electronics was invited to attend two major thematic conferences—the "Policy Interpretation and Technical Requirements Promotion Meeting for High-Quality Development of eSIM" and the "GSMA eSIM Ecosystem & Cooperation Forum". At the "Policy Interpretation and Technical Requirements Promotion Meeting for High-Quality Development of eSIM", Li Dan, Marketing Director of Huada Electronics, delivered a speech titled "Taking Security as the Foundation to Promote eSIM Industry Upgrade". He pointed out that as eSIM expands from the Internet of Things (IoT) to the mobile phone field, it places unprecedentedly higher demands on the reliability, compatibility, and security of chips.
Through the accumulation of experience from the commercial application of eSIM in IoT devices to the commercial trial of eSIM in mobile phones, Huada Electronics has built a full-scenario eSIM product portfolio, providing solid support for industrial upgrading. Li Dan emphasized that the core challenges facing the industry include the reliability and compatibility of eSIM chips, as well as end-to-end security covering chips and cloud platforms. On October 24, the 2nd eSIM Ecosystem & Cooperation Forum, organized by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA), was grandly held in Shenzhen. The forum included multiple keynote speeches and roundtable discussions. Li Dan, Marketing Director of Huada Electronics, was invited to participate in the roundtable session themed "IoT eSIM Innovation and Overseas Expansion Strategy", focusing on sharing insights into eSIM security. He noted that as the security foundation of IoT devices, eSIM chips, with their high security level capabilities, can provide a solid hardware trust foundation for devices to implement more secure extended functions.
Relying on its profound R&D and industrialization experience in the security chip field, Huada Electronics has built an eSIM product portfolio with core competitiveness in high security, high reliability, and one-stop services. The chip capacity ranges from 400KB to 2.5MB, supporting all network standards from 2G to 5G and covering over 400 operators worldwide. It also has the capability to concurrently download and manage more than 10 Profiles. The products fully comply with GSMA eUICC standards, having passed SGP series specification certifications and certifications from China’s three major telecom operators. Additionally, they support both international and domestic commercial cryptography algorithms, and have obtained multiple authoritative certifications such as Commercial Cryptography Level 2, CC EAL6+, GSMA eSA, and UnionPay Chip Security Certification. Notably, Huada Electronics is one of only two domestic enterprises that have obtained the GSMA eSA certification.
