According to China Optics Valley, on October 10, Yangtze Computing, an enterprise based in Optics Valley, won the bid for China Mobile's 2024 centralized procurement project of PC server products, with a total amount exceeding 300 million yuan. Just on September 30, the company also won the bid for China Unicom's 2025 centralized procurement project of general-purpose servers, with an amount exceeding 1 billion yuan, ranking first in the bid-winning share within the Kunpeng ecosystem.
Founded in 2020, Yangtze Computing is a leading domestic server enterprise in Central China. Its core team has been deeply engaged in the information and communication technology field for over 20 years, and has independently developed a full range of localized computing servers covering general computing, intelligent computing, high-performance computing, and storage. According to China Optics Valley, Peng Haibo, General Manager of Yangtze Computing, said, "Our domestic servers are selling like hot cakes! Within 10 days, the company has continuously won two centralized procurement orders, with a total bid-winning amount of nearly 1.4 billion yuan!" Peng Haibo analyzed that with the training of AI large models, the explosion of 5G application data, and the emergence of massive data, enterprises and data centers have an increasingly urgent demand for the capacity, cost-effectiveness, and stability of storage equipment. As a national team in computing infrastructure, Yangtze Computing provides an integrated service covering data computing, storage, management, and intelligent training and inference, and its product performance and quality are among the top in the market.
Last year, Yangtze Computing's output value reached 7.5 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 7 times compared with 2021. It is expected that the output value will continue to maintain steady growth this year, bringing it closer to the goal of "10 billion yuan in output value". Peng Haibo stated that the company will continue to increase R&D investment in fields such as liquid cooling, high-speed buses, and clusters to promote independent innovation in computing infrastructure.
It is reported that the first section of the Phase I project of FiberHome Communication's 5G Bearer Application and Digital Economy R&D and Production Base has entered the final stage of mechanical and electrical pipeline installation. After completion and commissioning, it is expected to drive a 50% increase in server production capacity of its subsidiary Yangtze Computing.
